Said Amur Al-Harthy

Said Amur Al-Harthy is an Omani photographer, visual storyteller and overlander whose work has been shaped by more than two decades behind the camera and a lifetime of exploring the Sultanate of Oman. His professional career spans commercial, advertising and fine-art photography, from people and landscapes to architecture, industry and major commercial assignments. Working through both the film and digital eras, Said developed a distinctive approach to photography built around light, atmosphere and storytelling. His work has been exhibited and recognised locally and internationally, and he continues to work with companies, organisations and advertising agencies across Oman.
Beyond his professional photography, Said has spent decades exploring Oman by road and on foot crossing mountains, wadis, deserts, coastal tracks and remote villages. Photography became a natural extension of these journeys, allowing him not simply to document places, but to capture the landscape, people, culture and experience of being there.
Over time, photography and exploration became inseparable. This journey eventually gave birth to Oman Overland a photographic and adventure project created from years of first-hand exploration across the Sultanate.
Today, Said continues his professional photography through FoToFactory Oman, while Oman Overland represents his passion for exploration, visual storytelling and sharing a different perspective of Oman with others.
